Day 1!

This is our apartment! :) Little tiny.
We are finally here! After lots and lots..and LOTS of time spent on an airplane, we made it! We got to the Thailand airport last night and went through immigration with no problems. Then we went in search for our bags..we got a little confused on where to find them--but we figured it out. Then we had to find Dondon and Carol ( the people picking us up), which became interesting since we didn't really know where we were meeting them
Chai Yin!! Yummm
and we didn't know what they look like. So I may have been on panic mode for a while, but it was fine because Caitlin was great and wasn't freaking out at all. We finally found them and they took us to their car and we left. They have little boy named CJ who is SOO cute! He cracks us up. He speaks Thai and English and he's only 4. So impressive! After we left the airport we went straight to our apartment and it took maybe 20 minutes. It was pretty close. Dondon and Carol are great. They have been so welcoming and they said they were so excited to have us and that they had been praying for us for like 3 weeks! Hearing that was definitely encouraging. We got to our apartment and it's super tiny, but it's going to work really well. So we dropped everything off and went across the street to get some food..we were both pretty hungry since the plane food was kinda sketchy! haha :) But we had noodles..and it was delicious! and they bought that for us and bought us water! They are so kind. We got back our apartment after eating around 11:45 and we went on major unpack mode..neither of us were really tired since it felt like we'd been sleeping all day (and i got probably 4 hours of sleep on the plane..i was pretty happy with that). So we unpacked everything and now our room looks super cute, and then i took a shower and we went to bed. I slept so well..and neither of us have jetlag at all?! We feel amazing..weird? yeah..probably. haha but we met Carol at 10:00 this morning and we went to get some breakfast (We had chicken over rice--really good! and we both had chi yin--it's this iced tea drink). After breakfast we went to the Santisuk school and it's probably about 3 blocks from our apartment. Oh, also, it's so cool because to get in our apartment we have to put our thumb on this thing and it lets us in based on our figer print!! Okay, back on track. The school is so cute! There are only like 4 teaching rooms..and we're going out later to pass out fliers..and Carol thinks we'll get a lot more people to sign up for classes if we (the Americans) are passing out fliers with them. At 2 we're going back to the school for a prayer meeting and we'll see Peng! Alsooo, we're going to Santisuk on Friday for training with Steve, so I am so excited about seeing/meeting everyone there! We got some groceries today. We went to 7/11 and got some bread, yogurt, and water...and that is super close to our apartment. Everything is going well and even though it's a little crazy, both Caitlin and I know that this is exactly where God wants us to be! Please continue to pray for us and the work we have here!
